To the person that said bluray is better quality because it has higher capacity, you're wrong. It DOES have more space, but the bitrates aren't higher. They're still limited by what the blue laser can read, and both hd-dvd and bluray use practically the same laser. They're only slightly different because of the thickness of the protective layers on the disc is different.

Anyway, I've seen both bluray and hd-dvd movies on a 50" hdtv and the quality is definitely much better. I sold my ps3 and still have the hd-dvd drive for the 360 (cept for my 360 some nog stole). Regular DVD is obviously shitty. Do all the upscaling you want, it sucks.

Just shield your eyes from ever seeing a comparison of HD and standard def dvd's and you'll be satisfied with what you have.

For planet earth: www.mvgroup.org it has torrents for all types of that ----. Planet Earth was pretty crazy ---- to watch in high-def while trippin *****

Meh, I still don't see how people say one looks better than the other. I work at LG, see hdtvs all day every day always playing hi-def content, and have fucked around with their bluray/hddvd combo player, and it's practically the same. It depends more on the particular player you use than on what format you use.

Jorsher, can you get a discount on the combo player? That way when one format loses, I have the other to play with
