Thing is, I'm often referred to as a (enter anti-semitic statement here). Even though it honestly doesn't bother me, its said without any moral restraint. It is as if predujice, given, usually not premeditated, against Jews is socially acceptable. However, I would argue that the same hypothetical person would never call a black person a "------" to their face, as a moral restraint would be enabled. I live in Southren Missouri, racism is a part of life here. However, I've seen people trash talk blacks all day using the word "------" without caution to the wind but once a dark skinned person is in earshot, the said racist go quiet. Its almost as though they are ashamed to be saying such deroggatory statements. Case in point, I feel the same embarassment is not felt when speaking poorly of Jews.

As far as tutsis? I assume you are referring to Rwanda? I doubt very many people, especially holocaust sensitive Jews, revered the Hutu militias for what they did. To say otherwise would be ignorant. It was a terrible loss, agreed, but what could be done? You almost make it sound as if the Jews had some role in it. There's only so much you can protest when you are powerless to affect the situation. Its like the characters in those horror movies, they want to help the victim but their pleas for mercy affect little. But, I do agree that most minorities do have their heads stuck up their ***. I try not to, I'm just not opposed to call bullshit where I see fit.
