Handsome Boy Modeling School concert pics
Last Monday (the 4th), Handsome Boy Modeling School was in Seattle so a friend and I went to go check em out. For those that don't know who they are, they're basically a pair of hip hop producers (Dan the Automator and Prince Paul) that have been around for a while and make some dope beats. The concert was pretty dope. They DJ'd, had some funny *** skits, and had guest appearances by people of their albums. When there wasn't someone live to do the vocals, they had these simple but cool cartoons on the screen representing the artists singing/rapping the lyrics. I thought some of the hip hop heads on here might be interested in seeing pictures, so here they are:
A lot of artists come here, The Showbox to perform. I saw Talib Kweli here last May, and Atmosphere is supposed to be here on the 14th with Murs. I'm broke as ----, but I wanna go really bad... Atmosphere sells out everytime they come and I haven't been able to see 'em yet.

Casual, from Heiroglyphics was a guest. He rips it nicely on stage.

Prince Paul doing the same to Josh Hayden. I hadn't hear of this guy until the concert, but he seems like a dope *** Jazz-like singer. He's got an album in progress w/Dan the Automator apparently.
This dude came out for some funny *** skits. He pulled some chick on stage and drew a mustache on her and wiped honey all over this dudes lips because they were dry.
Me and my buddy Craig stuck around after the show and got to chat with them. They're hella cool dudes, no egos at all and have an odd sense of humor. We asked Dan how he kept the mustache on during the show and he goes "Lots of Sexxxxxxx"
I don't know if they're still touring, but if they hit your town, I recommend you check them out. It was relatively cheap too, $20.

Damn, it's funny, but as much as I generally hate rap and hip hop, I love Handsome Boy Modeling School.
Maybe they'll come down to SLC some time, but I kinda doubt it.
