Well I was speeding down the streets of long beach as usual. Then I noticed a cop closing in behind me, well I had to make a right, so I do my duties. I make the right and I thought he was gonna go straight, but then turns right after me. I was like ----, it's a done deal and I was just crusing along waiting for him to flash his lights. Instead he goes to the lane next to me and keeps pace with me trying to get my attention, I ignore him, then he yells out the window "Hey slow down!",I play dumb and say "hurrruh?" He says "Slow down or get a ticket!" I say "Ok Ok and nodd my head. Then he speeds past me, crosses in front of me and turns.

What did I think was so funny? I crossed the border into LA Sheriff territory, he was Long Beach PD, so he was outta his jurisdiction. :P

Usually thats no big deal...he can pull you over, radio for a cop to come in that jurisdiction and then he gives you a ticket.

yeah i know, but it's a hassle I guess, cause before my cousin was cruising down the street at like 80, flashing lights, turns out it was a highway patrol and he just tells him to slow down. And plus I think if they were to have radio'd in a sheriff, they would have a hard time winning in court. There's gotta be a reason why they usually don't do it.

yeah... sounds like buffalo cops. I was in the city and was pissed off and just quit my job so im doing 75 in a 30 zone... nobody around really except for this cop car... so im like oh ---- and slow way down... doesnt matter she still saw me... and waves her hand out side the window (she was in the oncoming lane) and i slow up and she just yells "SLOOOWWW DOWWWNNN!!! Im like... ok thanx

That cop had all the right to give you a ticket.The offense was commited in his jurestiction......your just a lucky SOB

I'm still waitin for my HUGE bust. So far in the last Yr. that I've been drivin I've gotten pulled over 11-12 times in which all were Speeding, Loud Muffler, Bald Tire's, Old Inspection, No front plate, as well as some other things and I've yet to get but only 3 ticket's out of the total of about 30 that they've generously offered. In which I got those 3 dropped once I went to court. I guess I've got an ability to talk to them or somethin, but like I said... I'm just waitin for that Big one that does me in....

That's right, my buddy got a ticket when he raced someone down the freeway. the cop saw and followed. He got like 7 over the speed limit with a COC ( clocked out of county) of 128. It was just a note that the cop left on the ticket for the judge to read if he fought it. If he sees you in his jurisdiction, he can pull you over out of his jurisdiction. He just can't personally write you up for the ---- out of his area without calling someone else local.
