Default Had a revalation tonight

I was taking a shower tonight and a thought just popped in my head and I said...I'm stopping the turbo ----, flat out. my new setup was just costing too much plus lately all I can think about is graduating from college next summer and settling down and now if ever is the time for me to start getting myself together financially and mentally I guess. so I figure sell my remaining turbo ---- I had lined up for the new setup, keep the direct port nitrous I just got and be happy spraying 80-100 or so and just get the car looking nice and presentable. I just figure I can't afford to be dropping $$$$ every two weeks on trivial car mods anymore that are just sitting around because the kit isn't complete yet. I look at some of my friends who purposely stay at their parents crib and work a dead end job just to keep their cars fast...I can't do that! Don't get me wrong its fine to live with your parents into your mid/late 20s if need be, but don't do it just to mod your ride. it really sucks because I know I'm gonna be pissed since I work on other peoples cars and at my buddy's shop pretty much every weekend, but I think in the long run its the best decision. so in the next few weeks look for a manifold, DP and mad other ---- for sale anyone else been through this? time to throw in the towel I guess, until I graduate and can hopefully afford that STi!

I've considered giving up on life, but never have I considered giving up on my car. goodluck in whatever you do, but remember, you have to turn in your key to the ghetto fabulous club with all this talk of making your car "presentable"

by the time you get your sti off the shelf like everybody else, i will be running just as fast (well prolly faster by then...hopefully) in somthing that cost me $30000 less... save the cash youll throw down on that sti and put a down payment on a house. Ive always thought about if i started making some serious cash (a possibility at this point) if i would keep the accord project car or ditch it for a used acura NSX or Toyota Supra Turbo and i would keep the accord but probably not do too much more stuff to it after turbo, then concentrate on making 1000hp on a stock 2JZ bottom end... or a TT NSX because NSX's are just soo sexy... idk but i doubt id ever just give up like that

oh no doubt...thats what I meant when I said I want to be financially ready for when I graduate nest year, that'll be #1 for me, all my car ---- is secondary as it always has been. I've been thinking about this ---- for the past few weeks, I'd go back and buy all the cheap parts to my old setup and run a cheap low boost setup with the 14B, but strangely I'm just not motivated to even go BACKWARDS and do that.

and I'll keep a few patches of rust and bubbly paint on the car so I can still be accepted by the HMT ghetto fab crew :P

Sounds good man. Sometimes you have to make decisions like that. Just be thankful you are concious enough to do it. I just turbo'd my car about two months ago. It took me a long time, but I was motivated the whole time. If you don't feel that way, than go with what motivates you.

Do what ever you have to man. To bad though. My Turbo set up doesn't cost me much. I don't break things that much!! The only problem is I'm addicted to modifying cars. So no matter what I own I'm gonna dump cash into it until my girlfriend becomes a wife and tells me I cant. (I know (WHIPPED) That why I chose HONDA, Cheap and Fun to Mod and Drive

just knowing that as much as I love boost and cars in general, the fact that I'm actually selling this stuff to focus on other things makes me realize I must be doing the right thing.

I told my wife, I have been messing with cars and whatever I can since I was old enough to turn a wrench. so with that said, its who I am and if she didn't wanna accecpt it, leave her key on the counter.

I have other priorties in my life. We are gonna have to make a huge change in our lives in like 9 months when I get out of the military, we need new furnature, gonna have to move into a new place, lots of ----. I understand fully where da-max is comming from, and I respect him alot. I dont have the displine to stop messing with cars. it sucks, but im not mad about it. im gonna keep mod'n.
good luck da-max.
