My ex's brother wants to trade me his 91 talon TSi for my hatch. If you have sen my hatch posts before, it is rough outside, I only paid $200 for it, but I've probably spent about $1800 so far, including the turbo. Now the TSi runs but has one bad cylinder, I was told the piston broke somehow, he bought it like that and has never fixed it. I could get it and just drop in a new block.

The Tsi is mint, paint, interior everything looks good, but after so much work put on the hatch and a new clutch coming in friday, I kinda want to enjoy my work for a little while, but not sure if the Tsi would be a nice, maybe better/faster project to take on.

True, I have been missing nice burnouts, can't do with the WRX, and need a new clutch, coming in friday, for the civic, so it's been a while since I've done one.

So that's one point to keeping the hatch

I'm sure i could get over roasting the tires through 3 gears in my turbo civic if i could launch and *not* spin through 3 gears

I would get it as well.. maybe trade straight up, and maybe ask for a couple more dollars because of his engine problems?
