Not if it's wrapped around a cam it's not......we see it at my dealership at least once a year, some idiot loses an oil cap, stuffs a rag in teh hole, and voila......funny as hell...

Even if this worked, remember what the guy did to get to this in the first place, I doubt he is capable of even putting the cap back on. Maybe that's why he didn't do it in the first place, he could not figure out how to put it in the hole the twisting it to close.

his mommy and daddy definitely bought the car for him. im surprised he even knoew to put oil in it. probably tried to clean it out with washer fluid. he put the sock in there instead of finding the oil cap? WTF?! :1 :1 :1 :1 :1 :1 :1

Check this out... one time i was adding oil in my engine and dropped the cap and couldn't find it and it was like midnight so i said ---- IT i'll find it tomorow... Woke up in the morning to knoking on my door. It was the Cops, they told me to go out in the parking lot and look if my car is there... and sure enough it was gone, some asshats stole it in the middle of the night, but then cops told me that they have recovered the car about 30 miles away from where i lived and was like ---- it must have ran out of oil and the motor is dead. So when i got the place where my car set i popled the hood and was like WTF .......... GOD DAMN thives fould some other oil cap and put it on for me... THANKS and the motor was cool. The only thing they stole was my axle back and that's it.
