First of all: Homosexuality IS wrong, and it says so in the bible several times, it is listed as something that God hates, right along with adultry, murdering, and fornication (sex out of wedlock)
Abortion is just plain wrong, no matter what the circumstances, if my wife got raped and got pregnant, I'd have to live with that. It's not the baby's fault they were concieved, this is also clearly pointed out in the bible.
Jesus did walk ON the water, how do I know this? Because the bible is inspired of God, and he instructed the bible writers what to write, and it is always truthful. How do I know this? It's called faith people.
Hell doesn't exist, when someone dies, they die. There is no immortal soul.
The vast majority of organized religion these days is so corrupt that people can see it openly, and realize how hypocritical it is.
Speaking of this, starting the 16th of this month, Jehovah's Witnesses will be starting a massive campaign to talk to people about this issue. (Actually we are there to distribute a pamphlet that speaks of getting out of false religion, because it's downfall is near. I know you will all be happy to hear that we are not going to involve you in a 30min talk about this, but rather just to inform you of it and leave the pamphlet with you. This is a very big campaign, and I challenge any of you within 3 months of Oct. 16 to come and tell me that someone did not try to leave a copy with you. So you can look forward to that)
The bible does not contradict itself, you must understand the circumstances around the account to understand WHY it is saying what it is. To take one scripture out of context and compare it to another and say, "look it's contradicting here" is simply ignorant.

And by contradiction, I mean this. Look at specific passages of the bible. People think God HATES homosexuality, he/she HATES those who kill. The bible, at times, makes it feel like the moment you sin, you lose your spot in Heaven and you're stoned to death. That's how a lot of people think in this day and age. In reality, the whole New Testament is about forgiveness. How come Jesus' death doesn't work for homosexuality if it works for those who sin otherwise?
I [we] quit the church, but we didn't quit God. I believe in God, I believe in Jesus. I don't believe Jesus was white (I mean honestly, how the ----?). I don't believe he was anything different from a Ghandi or MLK Jr. It's what he represented that matters, and that was all that was recorded by the prophets; a message.
I was wrong about you. I can tell you value your religious beliefs. If you're happy, then I'm happy for you, and I respect your decisions. The way you came off about that teacher just made me think you were more like 96turboracer. That guy has lost it.

Side note; I once asked a Catholic what they believe would happen to the Pope if he let out a "Oh ----" right before he died, because of the pain or whatnot. I asked "Would he go to hell?" Their response?
"Yes he would go to hell. And at that, he would be punished more than others, because he knew better"
:1
that view isnt a little.. oh whats the word... sad isnt it do 1 sin and BAM, you've got no more chance.
