Justin you're rite.The turbo is hella small.I had that Passat 1.8t and it was pretty peppy for a pig of a car but If I go with the GTI the turbo/mani/intercooler would defenitly have to be swapped out for a gt28rs,a cutom mani,a CCA intercooler and a standalone.

once i raced a 99 gti in my 95 4x4 s10 with a 3 inch lift and 33inch tires and beat him i lost all respect for vw id never buy one of there products...im mean honestly you want a fast car so way spend all ur money on a car thats never gonna be fast unless you spend double what you spent to buy the car...IMO waste of time for a gti

Tough choice, but I don't think it really matters which one you buy...

They're both bound to get stolen. I'd drive something that isn't a target at all...but then again I'm sure where you live everything is a target and nobody has respect for what does not belong to them.

I'd say buy the civic and use the money you save to try and prevent theft, either by purchasing alarms and fabricating kill switches, or by loading up on ammunition for your guns. From what I know the 1.8t is a gutless motor until you upgrade the turbo and such like you said. I'd just be worried about it getting stolen, either of them.

You could also just paint either one bright pink...atleast that would make it easy to identify when they find it on the side of the road stripped of all the performance goodies you just put in it.

Thats what I was thinking. It may of been a regular 4 cyl but not a 1.8t.

Well I allmost bought a clean *** 99 4 door with 63 k miles on it.I know 4 doors are for grils but who would enjoy getting beat down by a boosted 4 door civic.Thats where I find the beauty of it.I might still get it but Im going to go look at a few more today.....yes Im getting another honduuhh .

And no this one wont get stolen!The fisrt thing Im going to install is a flame thrower under the driver seat pointing straight up activated by a pressure swicth powerd by a relay via the car alarm
