Default Greddy Profec B spec-2 review.

Well I'm done with my install. I hooked the boost controller up per instructions and it works fine. I would rate it a 2 on a scale of 1-10 for difficulty. With my bleed type MBC my boost was different in every gear and it would spike up to 2 psi over set point. With the Profec, the settings setup is a bit wierd because you have to raise boost by percentage and not PSI. Once I figured it out and set all the parameters I took it out to tune the low and high boost setting. At first I got a 2 psi boost spike but I tuned it out with the gain setting. I got it all dialed in on low and high boost with next to no boost spike what so ever. I set the low at 7.5 psi and the high at 10.5 psi. I also took a 1st to 5th redline pull and the boost is rock solid steady. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone needing a EBC.

Careful, hopefully it works for more than 4 months . I installed mine on the WRX, it was easy to install, and somewhat easy to set, but 2 weeks ago, it just turned off. I did not change or touch anything, and the unit just turned off. I took it back to the greddy dealer, and I'm waiting for a response, it's been a week, and nothing.

It's a nice unit, I just hope mine was just a fluke, they told me if they cover it with the warranty, they'll send me a new one.
I'll probably sell it and go standalone on the WRX

I notice no change in spool time but I spool really early due to my small T3. 2800rpm I build boost and full spool at 3200. Yeah Josh we can install that ---- in 1 hour tops.
