Default got a piece of ---- bike

i just picked up a 85 rm250 thats not running from some guy for $300. He included a second rolling frame and a spair motor. He claims that it is just needs a black box which is something for the ignition. He said it is has a rebuilt topend with less then an hour and half on it however i doubt it does but it has compression. Does anyone know how i can make a custom ignition setup for this without trieing to find a whole ignition setup. I am not to familiar with bikes but i do kno quite a bit about cars. When i get this thing running im planning on welding up a gokart and put a turbo on it if i got the money laying around.
