Your dumb as hell. SBC's are the ultimate motor if your not looking for fuel economy. They are the perfect horsepower moter. The only reason I got rid of my truck is because with gas it's to expensive to build a 1500 sbc making 500 horse vrs 5000 400 horse 4 banger. Put some real thought and research to your comments before you get button happy

ls1 ls6 are not impressive motors. they are powerfull but they are also big *** motors . if chevy put any kind of engineering in there cars they would be able to put out 100hp per liter and actually have some sort of badassness to it. but as far as im concerned the 385hp of the ls6 is pretty low, only putting out less then 50 hp per liter, and the ls1 with the measly 350 from a 5.7L. I dont like k20s but you could take the power and displacment from two k20z1s and have 420hp and only be a 4.0 v8. name a chevy that ever did that with a mass produciton naturally aspirated engine. and d-rail is this enough thought and research for you. and also im talking about initial factory cars not built sbc with 500hp. that is if you can actually read this while being **** happy with all the *** in your eyes. you ------- ***.

Yourstupid. Ever take a look at the torque? How about the differenced in the valvetrain? How about the compression ratios? How about how the LS1 makes a COMPLETLY different power curve than a k20. Your trying to compare a white midget to Shack.

If you make a LS1 with 4 valves per cylinder, and rev it to 10k rpm, It also going to make shitty *** low end torque, and lots of power past 6krpm. Whats the K20 compressoin raito like 11.5:1? LS1 is 10:1. What it make its max power at...8K? If you ever rode in a heads/cammed Ls1 camaro you might just change your mine on the shittyness of ALL chevys.

some body has never been to the drags... I too used to question the power of chevy motors till my roommate in college got a 95 Trans Am 6 spd, and then he took me to the drag races. never again will I underestimate the power. Im still skeptical on 4.6L mustangs though

Wow 95 would be a LT1 which is no where near the potential of the lS1.

it had work done... something along the lines of header, exhaust, ram air, cam, msd distributer, rebuild, and possibly a few other tihngs. He was able to stay with his friend's WS6. The lt1 might be a little heavier but it still has it where it counts.
