you may wanta hold off on that new sweet 5k box from the snap on guy if you make $100 a week. If you don't already have a box I'd suggest a smaller craftsman box to get you started

the degrees feture on those are nice I didn't bother getting that on the 3/8 but I did on the 1/2 inch for torque to yield head bolts. Those are nice because it tells you the torque as your coming up to it, btw ebay sells them for a 1/4 what you payed. I like the older flex head click style snapon's better though.

the 3/8 goes from 5-100ft lbs thats enough for head bolts isnt it? what does your 1/2 go to?

250lbs, the 3/8 will be a bitch at anything over 60 because its short, you have to pull to hard to be acurate unless its something thats easy to get at but in the real world working in tight engine compartments I use my 1/2 inch for 90 % of my work. I have a bunch of different torque wrenchs one just for tires, wheel bearings ect then two just for engine building, all snap ons. If I was just starting out the last thing I would buy is that torque wrench but whatever.

the guy at my work said a 3/8 would be fine for what im doing. he has a 1/2". so this wont be really accurate for building a motor on a stand?? i bought this so i make sure everything is perfect
