i just picked up some 96gsr/SE wheels this week too... i picked them up for dirt cheap, the wheels had like 3layers of different color paint, so i bead blasted them today... i'll probably paint them black or maybe silver/grey.

stealth, the whole point of getting these rims was because i wanted smaller wheels, not just a different color, these are just to hold me over until i can buy what i want.

doc, i would have loved some si rims, but they're a million dollars these days :P


here's the pics of the new rims on the car, they handle so much better, i also had my agx's set on the stiffest setting and wasn't aware, so i turned them down a bit and it feels like i have a different car now, 50 series owns 40 series, period!!!..........

damn teg those look kick-*** on the si. i actually like them better than the 17's.
how are they on cornering, the same as the 17's?

just drove to work with them this morning, so i'm not sure about cornering, but as far as regular ride quality it's about 200% better, but it might also have a lot to do with the fact that i adjusted my shocks. i just never liked anything bigger than a 16" rim, i almost didn't buy the car because those 17's were on there, but i jewed the guy down.....

I would imagine the rubber on the 50 series makes the ride a bit better compared to the 40 series. I give it two thumbs up now. I like it. That car was a ricers dream when you first got it. Now it's looking pretty good. I bet if you post the new pictures up on Clubsi they won't flame you like they did before.

yeah, it was a little riced out, but i couldnt beat the price and actually got the price down because of all the 'aftermarket' parts that i was 'going to have to replace with factory parts'. the main thing that sold me on it was the agx's, aluminum lca's, skunk2 camber kit, and the fact that i knew it would be a nice ride once i ate the rice. yeah, i was thinking about updating my post on clubsi, thanks for remembering :P

Don't lie you know than really really down inside you got the car because of the 17's and the 12"long overhang from the bumper muffler.



J/K The car look a thousand times better now. I don't think it was that those 17's where big, just ugly in my opinion. Looks better now.

i hate those ls mesh rims. the blades are the ----. ive been wanting to get em but never came across them. those wheels look nice on your si. i just got a set of those yesterday also. it doesnt look too bad on my car. your car is transforming from rice to nice
