shortblock built by golden eagle, this setup made 286whp and 219lbs on 10psi, it definately can do 300 with more boost, and i plan do build the head up more, cams, valves, retainers, port and polish, i want this setup to do 12's, 11's on slicks

for 2200 you could build one insane D16....I think I would weigh your options...
humm...built to livin hell D16
(even if you bought a D16 to build, then swap and sell the one in your car...)understand??it could be done really insane...
humm...get rid of your D16 and $2200 for a built to hell LS Vtec.
I would go for the D16 myself.
since you asked.

there is no way you could build a motor like that with $2200 + selling the z6. I'd go for it. that'd be a hell of a motor. done correctly it could handle a whole lot more then 10psi and a whole lot more then a measly 300whp

i have to give up my D dreams but dont worry i'll have a forsale thread soon... the problem with building a d is they cant make much more than 350hp because the head just cant flow enough CFM's... i think i will buy that engine.. what would i need to get that thing to be a high revver.. the bottom end can take 9k rpm revs already since its all forged right? just build the valvetrain? IM planning on making ATLEAST 300hp....

it sounds pretty good, but then you gotta take into consideration how much he beat on it, you don't build a block and don't beat on it :P
Think of it like this, since he's giving you all that, I take it you will be giving him your"
-D16z6
-Si tranny
-axles
-clutch
-ecu
Well those are probably the only things worth mentioning, well them there you could IF you find the right people get like a grand for, not saying you will cause I wouldn't pay a grand for it but I know people who have and some more.
So basically think, would you pay $3200 for that setup, if you say no, then you shouldn't, if you would pay the 3200, go for it.

alright im going to pay between 3-4'gs for his turbo setup that goes with the engine, the engine, and i give him my d swap. the car is tuned for that setup. that setup can take 500hp before the rods go and the sleeves can take 800 or 40psi...either way if i sold my stuff and tried to build that engine i would end up spending more, no?
