This dude I work with also works for a pest control service. He said about the worst thing you can do to kill an animal is to feed it a frozen sponge.
That is, you soak a sponge in chicken broth or something, put it in a ziploc bag and twist it, tape it....do whatever to get the sponge to stay compressed into as small of a ball as you can get it....something easy to swallow. It may require a few of them.
Freeze the sponge, take it out of the bag, serve frozen.
Animal eats sponge(s), delicious treat while cold. In their stomach it thaws rapidly and expands. Even if the sponge doesn't entirely expand and fill the stomach, it's likely the animal will not be able to pass it through it's digestive system (come on, it's a ------- sponge) and I can't see the animal being able to throw it up either. Anything it eats will just come right back up.
Fucked up way to kill something, I'd rather just get it over quick instead of ------- with all that, but then again I'm an animal friendly person.

If you use antifreeze make sure its not the more expensive kind. Thats usually propylene glycol and is not toxic.

Wow there are a lot of bitches in this thread. Killing animals is not something to be squeamish about. I am not for torturing anything, but you can kill an animal and still sleep at night.
Just shoot the damn thing or put it in a box and take it elsewhere.

Instead of being a ----- and killing ol kitty for the ---- of it.. Get into a fight with someone and try to kill them with your bare hands. Dont kick or nothing, hands only. It will give you a thrill of a lifetime.

i'd go with option 1, get a litter box you lazy ----.
if you are dead set on killing it though, then the most humane way is a cardboard box on the end of your tailpipe. just be sure to stick your head in first to make sure it works before you try it on the cat.
