^ That's the way I roll. My pc is too damn slow to have NAV and NIS runnin all the time.. ---- that ----, I can partition/format/install everything within an hour or two. It's nice to have to do something to this pc every once in a while.. nothing ever goes bad so I have nothing to replace lol

just call them and get a new cd-key, the guy i work with does it all the time. just call and say your hard drive crashed and you dont know your old cd-key cause it was preinstalled on the machine and you misplaced the cert. of auth. , works everytime

Iam confused you can just download the demo and get a crack. Other wise you are giving away someones copy with their serials embedded in the program.

i just download the service packs when they come out, and pick out whatever else ---- you need and install that too. i dont really like windows update, it should be called communist ******** update.


and as far as the virus scanner, i prefer to scan my files offline anyways. i like to use the clamav virus scanner provided with http://www.knoppix-std.org/tools.html.

but if you want, just use norton antivirus. it doesn't matter if your liveupdatebullshit is expired. just download the updates manually http://securityresponse.symantec.com....download.html
