^ That's the way I roll. My pc is too damn slow to have NAV and NIS runnin all the time.. ---- that ----, I can partition/format/install everything within an hour or two. It's nice to have to do something to this pc every once in a while.. nothing ever goes bad so I have nothing to replace lol

i just download the service packs when they come out, and pick out whatever else ---- you need and install that too. i dont really like windows update, it should be called communist ******** update.
and as far as the virus scanner, i prefer to scan my files offline anyways. i like to use the clamav virus scanner provided with http://www.knoppix-std.org/tools.html.
but if you want, just use norton antivirus. it doesn't matter if your liveupdatebullshit is expired. just download the updates manually http://securityresponse.symantec.com....download.html
