Default good deal???

yo wassup people...i got a t3 turbonetics turbo...and a 2003 honda eivic ex coupe..and i called this one car shop adn they were goignt o charge me $1,500 to drop in my turbo...including welding and drilling...is that a good deal or a rip??


and if i did i dropped my turbo myself...i dunno how to put the turbo together..so was wondering if someone give me some tips how to put a turbo together??...thanks everyone...itll be a big help..=D

Dude that's more than most of us on here paid for our whole turbo kit. Just read the forums, tech/turbo projects, FAQ and do it yourself. Just do a little research and get a buddy that knows how to turn a wrench to help you.

Here read this is not complete but will give you more of an idea on how the system works and goes together

It's a pretty good write-up on how a honda turbo system works, It's writen for a B-series, but it's exactly the same for a d series. Now you have a d17 so it might be a little different from what most of us have here, pretty much d16's, so keep reading and researching.

Now if that shop said $1500 for everything including the rest of the parts you need, I think it's a pretty good price. You could still save some $$$ doing it HMT style

I was assuming he already had all the parts and they were just charging him for labor...

if that was just for labor u should blow the place up...

it depends what it includes, its higher then a HMT kit, but its not aweful

damn that is exspensive. I dude i know name mike is willing to have me pay him 600 dollars just to put in the kit i made for myself.
