Don't see why not.. Older golfs are pretty cool.. Find out if the 1.8T stuff transfers over somehow

shortlist is

wich wud turbo best? wich wud you guys get?

remember cheaper car = more cash for mods so an m3 wont get moded as much as the golf would.

I'm not sure which Cosworth that is that you are referring to, but I love those cars in general...Is it an AWD version?? You say you want to HMT it so I assume it isn't factory turbocharged...I know alot of them are...

I thought all GTI's were turbo models. I don't think I could ever own one of those *******. Everything on them is so different than anything I've ever worked on. I swear they just changed ---- all over the place just to be different. Let's not use regular door locks, let's make them vacuum powered and let's not control the throttle with a cable, let's do it with a wire. Who needs room in the engine bay anyways? :1 Also, what's the deal with compact cars being light? Let's make them super heavy so our underpowered motors can struggle to move these pigs. :P

I'm sure they have their reasons, but jesus.....keep it simple, stupid. :P

mk1 golf = rabbit here, no turbo until mk4, and some of those were vr6'es.
