HF's are required to be in total dumps. The old one in Vegas was next to the biggest homeless area. They didnt have carts at that one since they all get stolen by the crackheads

Yeah we've talked about them till people died. The motor is underpowered and shitty, the blade must be replaced with a bi-metal. The stand is complete ----, make a new one, or reinforce what's there (google 4*6 bandsaw), use atleast a wax candle to lube your blades. Prefferably get a pump and make a nice lube bath for it.

DO NOT buy the HF bandsaw. Go to grizzly.com and buy theirs. The stand is three times better, the motor more than twice as powerful.

Damn straight. China wire machines are ungodly ugh.

Im with him!

Dude having owned alot of bigger ***** tools, and HF junk... Use HF to buy ---- you'd never possibly otherwise get to own. Like a huge assortment of shitty hand tools (NOT screw drivers of any kind). I personally wouldn't buy anything electric from them ever anymore. It's all total underpowered ----. Accross the board their motor's are not 1/2 as powerful as they're rated & it's jsut all junk! (atleast get the warranty)
1 42597-1VGA INDUSTRIAL DUTY RECIPROCATING SAW 37.99 37.99
Total Junk. If you need one, buy a Super Sawzall.

I will say, get yourself a stethescope. That's like the best thing HF sells besides the slime fix-a-flat. LoL!

Buy a 14.4v Makita cordless impact, drill-driver, worklight set. There's a reason almost every mechanic, in ever shop I've walked in during the last 6-7 years have them.
Makita 6935FDWDEX

You will severly regret not buying the Grizzly, as until the end of the year they come with a 1hp motor instead of the typical 1/3-1/5hp motor. btw the HF ---- is about 1/8hp, and the belt drive is total ----. Doesn't like tension, and many people ahve tracking problems over time. (check the bandsaw groups)

this statement is very true.Every mechanic at my shop has the same 3pc set that i have. The mother ***** comes in handy i'll tell u right now.

on another note...maybe it's just me.....but i don't buycheap craftsman or champion or n e of those crap tools......maybe it's just me but i perfer to spend an arm an a leg on my matco and snap-on tools.yea my new flank drive plus wrench set might have cost me 200+ bucks.....but i don't like using tools that feel like ------- toys and tend to break with repetative use....

also.....buy one of these badboys.....worth the 140 bones
