I had the exact same problem though with a shattered pressure plate. Two of the springs had popped out of the disc and had taken out chunks of the pressure plate. This kept me from getting into two different gears and yet it would engage into the others. Also there was plent of ---- to rattle.

However it could possibly be second or third gear syncros, or even bearings. That's why ya just gotta dig in there!!

Weird, ok I'll try to get down there and check it out. It's just not like dropping a honda trans. This thing is a bitch.

I do have a new Exedy stage 2 street kit in there, new clutch and PP that where supposed to hold the power fine.
