22r's are excellent motors, but why the ---- do you want to ruin a car with a motor that is made for a truck, has 95hp at 4800, and won't reliably break 6k on the tach?
they're made for trucks. end of story. unless you buy a comp cam in the 280 and up range, complete LCE head, 12.5:1 pistons, stroker crank, bore the ****** out 2mm, to make it a 2.7-2.8, what's the point of enjoying a carbureted motor? also, have fun with a $400 replacement ignition module...

No but on a serious note, the quad 4's put out decent hp numbers, but I heard that they tend to explode a lot, that they aren't reliable engines at all. I didn't doubt that information for obvious reasons. I owned a 93 beretta w/ the 3.1 v6 and someone would always talk about their beretta with the quad 4 that was soo fast until the engine rattled apart
