Re: glad i dont live in Cali.
Has anybody on here ever had a car taken and crushed? Not your friends moms sisters boyfriend who knew a guy down the road who had a friend who heard a guy talk about it to his friend who told his uncle who told you. :1 I want to see if anybody on this website who lives in Cali has ever had a car taken and destroyed.

Boostd DAteg on here who lives in the same city had his gf's car impounded for 30 days. Basic bolt on car stuff not street racing to get pulled over
The fact the car had no legal smog parts allows them to do that

If its a small loan they will charge it off and they get to write off the rest. So ultimatly, the bank looses nothing. They get to write off their loss and end up getting a tax credit for the unpaid loan amount. Banks never loose

Re: glad i dont live in Cali.
Bankruptcy laws have changed. It will take six months before see a bankruptcy judge and its up to him to decide wether he grants you teh bankrupcy or still garneshes your wages or makes you sell your assest at auction to pay for the loan amount. Bankruptcy is based on income to debt ratio. If you have a good job and equaty of any kind you WILL pay for the loan one way or another. They can put a lean on your house also.
But still the bank can sue you and garnish you wages way before that.

So the banks will have to pay court fees and lawyers and ---- to sue these THOUSANDS of people who won't be paying them a damn thing because they have no car. That's if they sue every single one of them and win. It just doesn't seem logical to me. I mean, the insurance company and the bank has a foot in on this chunk of money. I don't believe they crush cars on a regular basis. There is just no way. Impound them maybe, yes but not crush them.
