im glad they have their cars crushed. 90% of the street racers out here are a bunch of worthless douchebag wana be gangsta bangers anyways runing 15sec hondas. If they have stolen parts, they should be returned and the rest of teh car crushed. they should put those ******** in jail too.

also the batteries used in those hybrids are very very bad for the environment and cannot be disposed of easily. also the material used in the batteries is very hard to mine for and causes a lot of pollution just getting it out of the earth.

did you see the artical stating the building of a prius and its expected 100k longetivity before major overhaul pollutes the earth many times more than it does building a hummer and its projected longetivity of 230k+ miles.

Exactly why currently electric cars are worthless. Unless we switch to a more efficient form of energy production, plugging in your car will pollute so much more than a gasoline powered car. Burning fossil fuels is less efficient and pollutes more. We need more nuclear energy. Spent waste, ---- send it to the sun where is belongs. Save the fossil fuels for use as "portable energy until technology gets better.

Oh and the whole hydrogen vehicles, what a ------- joke. We don't have even the slightest technology capable of making that efficient. We are decades and decades of making decent storage cells. The density just isn't there.

i think crushing the cars is just pointless cause it will make streetracers run now...but i did agree with something in the article...they should take the cars they confiscate and auction off ---- on it or just the car and donate the money to charity...atleast it would have some kind of a positive out come from it all

yup, and if the cops happen to roll through the area (which I can count on one hand how many times ive seen the cops while out after midnight)....they just tell us 語ほめ (to go home). Only once that I know of was there a huge bust....it was a huge American hang out place, and it was busted by the US cops. From what I was told, the bust came about because people (US) were going there and trashin there cars and then claiming it on there insurance. I go to my place with very few other round eyes, its 75-80% japaneese hang out. ----, the place was covered in a japaneese magazine for christ sake....people have been racing there for many many many years, the road isnt even on the map. lol. Our main road that runs through the entire ------- island is dam near a race track after midnight. Your either a drunk old japaneese dude driving home or your hauling ***. I mean thats just the way that it is. Its widly accecpted. So for you to say in a round about way that I am bein a hyprocyt (sp) I can see that, but at the same time, I think its 2 completly different stories.

Like I said, maybe my knowledge of the street racing in so-cal isnt up to par, I dont know...but one thing is very obvious to me when reading that article. They want to put an end or at least put a dent in street racing. Perfectly fine and understandable to me. They dont want the ---- on the streets.
Take the ---- to the race track.

Honestly Dan, come on, in so cal you have how many tracks in how close of a radius. Im not trying to make excuses for myself, but dam. Its one thing to not have any tracks and then its another to have a perfectly good track(s) close and not use them. It seems to me as if these people are really ------- ignorant about what they do as well. Track(s) at your leisure and not use them and then to top it off, bitch when you get busted on the streets for racing!
Get real...

I guess theres alot more to 'so-cal street racing' than I am aware of or something...but to me, its just ------- retarded.

Um you dont have to be racing to have your car taken here. They can crush your car is you have an illegal exhaust yes thats true.

The main thing they do is take cars for 30 days even if your not racing then you must pay impound fees etc etc.

Then if you want the car to be driven on the streets again you must forst go to a smog ref who clears you
then you must go to a local sheriff's department to clear that the car no longer has any illegal parts

Yes in california 50 state legal parts are illegal

You are not allowed to do anything.

lowering=illegal
intake=illegal
exhaust=illegal
hmt kit=your car is being impounded

Alot of areas are worse than others where Im at in Nor Cal is no joke I just went to a local tow yard the other day over 40 ricer cars they will be selling off

You cant own a Honda here why Im building track literally only cars from now on. Im done getting fucked with.

So junkyard summary people can have their cars crushed for having a basic engine swap and driving like a grandma but get pulled over for example a set of rims
