Default Gauge Wiring question

Alright I still have some gauges to hook up especially the lighting source for them.

In the autometer instructions it says you should hook up the "lunar" series with the dash so you can dim the lights prolonging the life.

Would this be the same for my ultra-lite series? I don't see a difference in the lunar series and mine other than color (while looking online). I'm almost positive I can hook up the boost and egt gauge to the dash lightning because the power is only for lightning.
What about my air/fuel gauge that uses LED's... I wouldn't want to fry that because I messed up.

Any help is appreciated

im thinkin the guages lighting source is different from actualy guage power. the LED's have to be on all the time whether the dash lights are on or not. Hense they would power from an 12+ign source. The a/f Backlight can go from the dash lights. i dont see a different. instead of a sweeping needle u have some led's.. thats all.

Try it all it does when you hook it up they way you described is lower the voltage when you dim the dash lights there is no way to hurt your guages by giviing them too little voltage it will we fine if you dont like it hook it to +12V
