^settle down boys!

I go to holiday gas stations because they are the only ones ive found in MN to sell 93 octane as their premium grade fuel. Everywhere else sells 92.

You are an idiot. 93 octane is 93 octane. You can legally have a higher octane rating being sold as a lower one, but not the other way around. If someone is changing the labels/gas/price ect, you can't blame that on the brand of gas, it is simply that franchise.

But like Jago said, it is all the same until the companies add ----. Shell has V-power, Mobil adds detergents, Holiday adds clean burning ----. It is all the same gas for the most part though.

I've noticed that BP has 93 octane and it makes my car idle like ---- (IACV going bad type symptoms) but when I put Speedway 92 octane in there it idles at EXACTLY 750 RPM like it should.

my local shell v-power does the same, 750 exactly at warm.

Chevron=Texaco

I buy Chevron when I can and then any name brand gas when I can't. There is a difference though, I can smell and taste it. Chevron gas smells so good and sure as hell taste better.
