I was trying to slip the car into neutral but because the car was over-revving and red-lining I couldn't do it.

haha, "I didn't want to shut the ignition off because I would loose my power steering and the situation would have been more dangerous". How hard do you think it would have been to control a car without power steering going those speeds? He certainly could have come to a stop safely.

A spokesman for BMW, which wants to examine the wrecked car, said: "We are unaware of any issues of that nature with that particular model."
So some of their models must have that problem then?

yeah they are a bitch to work on, kind a like vws and audis also (or pretty much any european car). This guy is unreal, youd think hed let the rev limiter save the motor, i mean, rather blow a motor than crash at 130mph... just a little. Sounds like this guy knows absolutely nothing about cars or driving at all. Keying off would have been what everybody else in the world would have done. He probably should have gotten killed for being such a dumbfuck.
