You think you have kick *** neighbors that are nothing to worry about. My two next door neighbors are the following:
- 90 year old man who lives alone, is deaf, and goes to sleep at 5pm
- Family of 16 from underground mexico, a total of 0 greencards in the house, and constant "customer traffic" of illegal substance sales. I dont think ill ever have to worry about a complaint from either of them when it comes to cars.

Awesome stories guys! All of my neighbors change at least once a year. The only complaint I have ever had was when I Was tuning the amp in my old crx and som eold guy came up and asked me to turn teh music down.

werd. I do shoot my guns, but usually in my front yard.

we lived in the middel of no where. now some people are trying to build a suburb like 10ft from our property (we've got a small acreage at 5 acres, they have small 1/3-1/2 acre yards). The 3 houses have a home owners contract bullshit, but we were here for 10 years before they were built so we're not in it. The bitch that lives closest to us was bitching out other neighbors for ----, so I just waited. I carried on my buisiness as usual (air compressor/power tools/open exhaust at 1-4AM during the week) and my shop is 30ft from her bedroom window. One day she bitched at me that we weren't in compliance with the HOA rules. Later that night (bout midnight/1am) I informed her that we were not a part of it by running my Polaris 400 Express up and down the property line with the expansion chamber unhooked from the manifold.

They promptly moved out (lived there for 3 months after building it ).

I used to have a system in my car lol it wasn't even on the road yet i was only like 15 or so. One day my now brother inlaw was waiting for me to show up at my house decied to play the system a bit waiting for me. lol The guy at the next house up to road walked down in the dark came in the garage with a pipe wrench. Scared the crap out of him. He said all of a sudden all he saw was a shadow with a lit cigarette. Nothing like living out int the middle of now where. with rednecks

My neighbors are pretty cool. I'm pretty much always in the garage till like midnight on the weekends doing something loud and they're old, but I dont think they ever sleep. Like I've seen them drive home at like 10!...and these are like old retired people, the husbands even a retired minister. We have a burnout collection on the road but my parents kinda encourage it. My parents did tell me we had some cops slowly drive by the house looking in...So i'm thinking we do hae a neighbor turned ***-Clown, I havent figured out which one it is though, but when I do I know of a certain LS-CRX that'll be paying them a visit w/some smokey burnout late at night. But then again my neighbors shouldnt complain about my loiud cars b/c the one has a 4wheeler he drives down the street, a loud-as----- early 70's monte carlo that seriously shakes my house when it runs (which he does run late at night sometime), a big *** chevy truck that rips down the road all the time, and the one is this pyromaniac who sets off ------ loud-*** fireworks at like 12 am on, ALL year round.

I've gotten lots of letters like that, almost all of my neighboors are old ******* with nothing better to do then be ********; we even have two old ladies that patroll the area to make sure nobody is in violation of their hoa's. After about 4 years of being in my neighboorhood I'm suprised my neighboors have not tried to shoot me yet because there has been this silent battle of me vs. their bs for 4 years now.

Back when I was 16 I had two 15in cerwin vega strokers in a 1990 prelude si, and I'd come home at 100~11pm blastin that ---- like an asshat, and I was getting letters weekly about it. Ironically, my parents said until the person sending these comes down in person, or atleast puts a return adress on there, don't worry about it. I eventually stopped when at 9pm my neighboor came out screeming at me while I was showing the subs to a friend of my mom's. Soon after I sold the system and the car for $4k in the better interest of my hearing.

After about a year of that sound system it doesn't matter what I do now, my neighboors are always looking for an excuse to call the cops, write me letters, and just be ********. Hell I've had the cops called on me for setting posts on a Sunday for an A/C platform for the house. The cops told me I had to stop working because its against the HOA to use power tools on a Sunday, when I asked if a post hole digger, sledge hammer, and cement mix were power tools the cop said nope, and left.

Recently I bought a 03 GSXR, which I've rev'd to the redline withing a 1/2 mile of the house, which I'm told can be heard for miles, once the neighboors figured out who owned the "very loud motorcycle" the letters started to come back. I think the greatest thing to happen was when some other asshat wrecked his bike at 2am on my street and just ditched it, causing all of my neighboors think it was my bike; so at 2am, I have 4 cops knocking on my door, while a small audience of 5 people with combined ages greater than our countries history standing across the street waiting for me to get arrested. when I took the cops to my garage and showed them my motorcycle, and explained that my neighboors have been harassing me verbally, and through letters I was told that the next time the cops were called on me for a stupid *** reason that the person calling would be recieving a fine

Haven't recieved any letters or had any cops pay me a visit since.

Minor Threat

What really bugs me is the fact that while that letter was probably in the mail, the muffler got put back on the NA car and the turbo car got a full 2.5 system on it. I would hate to think that the author of the letter thought that it did anything, so I'm going to do an open DP burnout when my car is on the road in a few weeks.
