Last weekend I went to a car show. Tons of civics, one turbo'd ls/vtec caught my eye, so I went to look at it. Pretty much a stock looking car, usual ls/vtec with an ssac kit (bleh :P). Looking at it I saw an fmu, so I politely asked him why he was even bothering to run it, why not look into ecu chipping. Dude got all offended and started ranting on about he had a hondata s300 system that he paid 2k for (yeah right lol) and the fmu wasn't hooked up (lines were hooked up and I even pointed it out 
). So then he defended both the fmu and hondata theory saying that the hondata was only for up to 18 psi and the fmu was for up to 38 pounds on his boost controller. So I asked him how the hell a hondata could read 18 psi on a stock honda map sensor and what the hell would he do with all the ignition timing AFTER 18 psi...out came the dumb drooling look. Then he says he needs to have at least 120 psi of fuel pressure because of the fmu for the ctr pistons in his block, plus his 38 pounds of boost. I shook my head, called him a dumb ------ ricer and walked away. :1

^^I run into guys like that at the track on ocasion, I asked one kid in a hatch if he tuned his own setup he was telling me all about "ya man I hook the laptop up n ---- yo", but forgot what program he used :1 ya right.

there was a guy at the local track last year that had a turboed b18 in a hatch that was runnign a FMU, i asked him about it and he said that his ecu is also chipped

This has to be one of the funniest things as of late.
The other thing that comes to mind was a kid with a Toyota Matrix XRs or whatever they are called.....was telling somebody that he had ordered some cam gears and once he had them installed he would be running somewhere around the 9 sec. qtr. mile

Kid @ junkyard saying he had 3 stage vtec in his $6000 'built' b16, and stage 3 broke the tires loose...
Kid with cavalier telling me he had a v6 when I noted he didnt.. and then he told me his buddy has a v6 delsol and they look the same and I said delsols never came with v6's and he got in my face about it LOL...

Met this guy in a tuner shop that claimed he knew everything about Honda/Acura. He was 100% sure that my Acura is RWD. He swore up and down that they switched from FWD to RWD for my generation. He bet me $100 that it was RWD so I threw it on four jackstands and took his money.
