Cult - A religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
So, if there was some "branch" if you will of Christianity that went and killed people that weren't Christians because they believed the Bible told them to do so, they could be called a cult. A cult is not a religion.. just an extreme part of it :P

I was being smart; but at the same time, if someone claimed to be a part of Christianity and killed people in the name of God because they are non believers, anyone involved in that group would be considered part of a "cult".
