forward facing child seat in a CRX?

i have a 2 year old and im thinking about buying my friends crx. does anyone have any experience with a child seat in the front?

I would NEVER put a child in a older car, let alone a CRX, that's just plain STUPID!

I don't think that it matters how you face the child seat. I read the the crx has LESS THAN POOR crash ratings. My friend got in a wreck with his and he got all sorts of fucked up. Broken hand, foot, gash on his chin and surgery because he got air in his chest cavity. Not good. Don't put your kids in there. I did take my 5 year old neice (at the time) for a ride around the block so she could see how fast it was. She was so scard. I thought that she was going to cry. I only did a 2nd gear pull to 5 grand. But that was the only time. I wouldn't make it a daily driver to take your kids to school in.

yeah, dont thrpw your kids in a tin can. Score a volvo and lose the omg racecar menaility for a bit.

^ Exactly. I was doing like 30 when I wrecked mine and it messed up bad. My seatbelt failed so I smashed my head off the windshield, then the steering wheel. chest drove straight into the steering wheel and i had a huge circle bruise on my chest. Ended up with no broken bones but bruised most of my upper body and was doctor ordered to have a neck brace on for a few days and if I went anywhere, to grab a wheelchair.

I love CRX's but if I were to have a child ride with me I would take a different car. NO WAY in HELL would I let a child ride with me in a CRX.

BTW, CRX crash test ratings were 2/5 stars and below if i remember correctly.

you woul dthink it would be okay since the crx didn't come with airbags so it wouldn't kill them in an accident, but then you need to use common sence and good judgement and say "no, that's not a good idea".
