I changed the head gasket and the oil pan gasket on my car and it was find. The ECU even worked and it was in the most water.

I've pulled a couple ECUs out of mud puddles at the yard, cleaned them off, dried them, and they work fine. Welcome to electronics... they aren't sensitive to water, just to being shorted out by water.
