First Test Drive: 2004 Nissan Titan
Nissan's new Truck.. 2004 Titan
Well, alot of you know I do work as a tech at a local Nissan dealer. We have all been anxiously waiting for the new arrival of Nissan's first full size truck. Sporting a new designed VQ series V8 engine, and decent body line. Yesterday we got our first one, and yours truely was the first one to go beat the living ---- out of it. I was very impressed with this truck. I've drove ton's of Fords, Chevy's, and Dodges. I think Nissan did a remarkable job with this truck and I honestly think if anyone is in the market for a truck to check it out. The thing drives beautiful. Not to mention it smokes the tires nicely
The past few years Nissan is really turning around...
Just thought I'd share

haha dustin.. speaking of trucks. I read an article in the paper about the new Dodge Performance truck, the SRT-10.
Basically a short box short cab 1500 series Ram w/ a viper motor and better suspension. with the viper's heart you'd expect this thing to TEAR up a 1/4. NOT, 15.9 WTF IS THAT! Funny have the Ford SVT Lightening is faster w/ less motor

Your wrong buddy these are the real numbers at high elevation
these specs confirmed 11/03
0-60 in 5.2 seconds
13.8 second quarter mile
.92 g skid-pad
Truck trend magazine says
The truck burns rubber in a pretty impressive way, with a 0-to-60-mph acceleration time of 5.0 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 12.9 seconds at 106 miles per hour.

lmao a dodge srt-10 only running a 15.9? Bahhahhaha
Thats a 500hp and 525 ft lbs of torque engine. It has rotors bigger than your civics wheels and goes to 60 mph in 5 seconds.
The srt-4 does 0-60 in about 5.8 and can hit a 13 sec pass with a good drive. I'm sure the srt-10 would easily cross mid to low 13's without a problem. I wish I could find a 1/4 mile time for it but i cant right now.
Anyways back on track. Thanks for the update Jeff, I also wondered how this truck would turn out. As usual I think the foreign companies will be doing trust better than "American" car companies in a short period of time.
