well, i think what hes saying is, if you dont use ie to surf the web and use fofox, then you wont have toworry about spyware being installed by just surfing the net and ---- like that and your homepage chanign withought you knowing.

yeah, i admit ie has gotten better. although you should remember that hackers are going to primarily target the weaknesses of ie instead of other browsers, because everyone and their mother's uncle's cousin's brother is using ie. ie will never stop having problems because people will find new ways to ---- with it. firefox wont suffer from most ie problems simply because it isn't ie.
