Default finding paint codes...

I bought a civic bout a month ago, and cannot contact the owner who painted the car, and i need touchup paint for it. I was told its a ppg paint, called vogue silver metallic, and i found a site that has vogue silver metallic but its not a ppg paint. I dont no if there is a difference. i looked online and cant find much. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What ive done before is take like the gas door off, and bring it into the paint shop. They have some Laser scanner that will give them a paint code. And if u buy cheap paint it wont match. If ur going to buy PPG get their DBU and itll match fine.
