felling stupid need help with gear ratio calculations
if you had a 3.23 first gear and a 4.785 final drive ratio how do you calculate the total ratio? Then how can you figger out say 45 mph at ??:1 ratio with 205-45-16= ??rpm. Make sence because it barley does to me I suck at explaining ---- lol.

if you're good with algebra you can swap this function out with an X for rpm if you know MPH
the formula relating road speed and engine rpm is
mph = (rpm * cir) / (gear * final * 8
where rpm = engine rpm
cir = tire cicumference, in feet
gear = gear ratio of your car
final = final drive ratio of your car
88 = combines several conversion factor
