I have to have my block honed and new pistons put in. Whats the fastest way to get this done? Should i pull the whole motor out of the car and then break the motor down? Or should i pull the head off the motor while its in the car? Only thing is that its a h22a in a 90 accord so its a tight fit. Please help

lol Well of course i woudl drop the oil pan and ----... But i was askign if it woudl be faster to just pull the head and then the block and leave the tranny in the car or of its better to pull the whole thing at 1 time

Leave it in the car, pull off the head and the oil pan.

Well it sounds to me that you want to give it the "------ hone" which means throw some rags in the cylinders and give the cylinder walls a quicky hone job. This can be easily done in the car. Rip the head off, Drop the pan, drop the main girdle loosen the rod bolts and pop the ******* out (through the top) In car rebuilds are my favorite.

NO NO not at all.. Im having a shop professionaly hone the block. I was askign if its easier to pull the whole motor out as 1 peice or break it down inside the car... Either way the block is comign out.. If i was goign to do it in the car i would rent a hone. i liek to do things the correct way as much as possible.

Easiest way (without a lift) is taking it out through the top. Not sure if a h22 in a accord fits like a b series in a Crx, but you cant take just the engine out on B series in a crx. You have to take out both at the same time.
