Come on its hot, but its not really a street car with a chute, full tubs, 8 sec roll cage... he drove his drag car 1500 miles, i know folks who tool around town just cause it has antique plates on it, damn sure aint a street car though.

Thats a really cool event. Eddie Miller( the purple duster in the second vid on the hot rod page, he won last years event), is a good friend of mine, hes at my shop almost every night hanging out. He swears this a great event,and he does every year. I can't comment on the other cars, eddies car is a street car he drives the damn car everywhere, he drives it over to my shop almost everyday, takes it out to dinner, has even drove it back from daytona.
Hes actually got me and another customer of mine talked into doing the event next year, no import has ever done the event, closest thing was an a stage 2 srt-skittle that went 12.8. Its something some of you other guys should look into. 5 days of racing going track to track with a bunch of other gearheads, with a good chance of getting into hotrod magazine, Sounds like a great time.

Street car is a loose term. More like street legal car. IMO a true street car is a daily driver that is transportation first and a drag racer second. That car is a drag car first and transportation second. I've seen nine second daily drivers, but after that it's really a pure drag racer that moonlights as transportation on occasion.

not that impressive theres "street car" hondas (read plural) going almost as FAST as that car, obviously not as quick though.
driving 1500 miles one time is one thing, i guarantee other then that event and maybe a few nights out a year that car never sees the road.
