i play, but you normally start before the season starts, not halfway through it

there are many leagues that play half seasons

I think MSN has one, but I am not sure.


however, my FFL this year sucks *****.

i drafted well, however, their performances are so spotty at times that I cant ever accumulate enough points to win.

i am currently 2-7

and I currently have these players on my roster....

QB= Matt Hasselbeck

RB = Marion Barber

WR's = Jorricho Cotchery, Laveranues Coles, Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, Bobby Engram

TE's = Desmond Clark, Owen Daniels (all the good TE's were gone when I went to draft mine)

PK= Mason Crosby, Kris Brown

Defense = Minnesota


all of my main players had bye weeks last week and this week, so I have struggled.

so do you actually play the games or is it just like managing a football team? i know you draft and stuff like that but nevr heard anybody talk about actually playing.

its just like managing a team...

you draft players

you start them in their positions based on how you feel they will do that week against their real life game.

you start off with

1 QB
2 WR's
1 RB
1 addt'l RB or WR
1 TE
1 PK (place kicker)
1 Defense/Special Teams

you score points for total yards for the QB, TE, RB, and WR's
you score points for each touchdown your player has
you score points for each xtra point and FG your PK makes
you score points for each sack, safety, and defensive TD your defense make plus any yards/TD's your punt/kick returner makes.

you lose points for fumbles, INT's, and missed FG's.


thats the basics of it.

Inquisition

I play in a small yahoo league. Only 8 of us so it makes it a lot easier. I'm in 1st place. We play 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 K, 1 TE, and 2 DEF.

My starting lineup this week is
QB: P. Manning
WR: P. Burress
WR: M. Colston
WR: B. Edwards
RB: M. Lynch
RB: R. Bush (just got him in a trade. I sent out Travis Henry and Ben Roethlisberger for McNabb and Bush. I'm never going to start Roethlisbeger so I figured I might as well trade him now that I'm set to be in the playoffs.)
TE: Chris Cooley
K: Jason Hanson
DEF: Detroit
DEF: Kansas City

Bench: New England (DEF), A. Boldin, D. McNabb, K. Curtis, K. Watson
