my family owns some vacation property thats far enough away my parents don't go there that often, maybe once every couple of months or so. We had a problem with people vandalizing some of the machinery, and someone broke into the cabin. My parents put up a survelence camera on the roof of the cabin, has a blinking red light can't miss it.... ever since then nobody has been back. Honestly the thing looks fake, cause it is heh....

so I'd say fake is definately fine

i picked the right fake one too. If I was going though the trouble to steal someones car, and they had a camera on the garage. I would just disable the camera, with spray paint or whatever else i could.. locks only keep honest people out.

yeah, like everyone has told you, you can hook up an actual survailance system for pretty cheap. but you came here posting about a fake camera....so if you want a fake camera....here is a pretty cheap one...and it even moves when you walk by, and it has a little blinky red light...so it looks just like a real one

why do you want a camera anyway? i wokred at several places that have been robbed and usually all you get from the surveilance video is watching someone steal ----, they are usually smart enough to cover their face with something and wear gloves ( cops probably won't search for prints anyway) and the video is usually so bad you can't id the person unless you know them really well. i say get an alarm or a big *** dog.

haha, the best alarm is a dog that you have to tranquilize to get in and out of the garage. your parts will never be stolen.....

unless the theives have tranquilizers...damn

A dog will most likely alert you when/if someone comes onto your property though. Chances are they are going to make some sort of noise when stealing ---- and when a dog hears noise in the middle of the night they go ape ----. It pisses you off sometimes, but it will be worth it.

What kind of dogs are we talking about? No way in hell would you just walk into my house with any of my old dogs without losing a limb or at least waking someone up. Hell, even my boss's little rat dogs go nuts and act like they're going to do some serious damage on someone when they hear noises or see someone they don't know.
