Default experience with pot bellied pigs as pets?

I found someone giving away liter trained pot bellied pigs for free. I'm always up for free ---- and wouldn't mind another pet. Hell if I don't like it, I can alway cook it up have me some bacon and pork chops. So anyone have one or known anyone who had or has one for a pet?

One of my friends had one for a while. It didn't stink and was pretty smart. The ****** wouldn't stop eating for anything. It was a cool pet but it's still a pig in your house.

my moms good friend had a pig way back in the day for years and years.. hell she might still have it actualy.
just like any other pet really.. they just snort alot, and they eat anything you put in there face.. i meen anything.
didnt smell or anything like that.. i know they dont have sweat glands, so you gotta make sure they have a not to hot temp.

not sure what kinda pig it actualy was.. but it was it grew pretty big. 100-150 pounds or so.

They said it's stays tiny so it won't grow to full rack status. lol. So that's fine with me.

I went with my wife once while she got her hair cut. Long story short I was there for about an hour and a half. They had a pot belly pig and I played with it the whole time. It was cool as ----.

for you guys who want a pig for a pet I would suggest calling around to the local animal shelters and see if they have some or know some place that does.
The problem with those pigs is they live to be like 30 years old or some crazy ---- like that. Most people dont want to keep a pig for that long. so a lot of them end up in shelters

Also they are super ------- smart. By smart I mean they know how to get out of pins and have some sort of keen instinct for getting into ----.

Raise to eat it, not so much as a pet. Raised a couple pigs when I was younger for the fair, don't get too attached.

they are smart as ----. My cousin had one and could not build a cage to hold the ****** in. They are intuitive and will figure ---- out. You have to train them harshly and early or they will simply assume that they are the "dominant" one in the relationship. They are like children and will manipulate you to get what they want. If you train them they are awesome because they are 10 times smarter than any dog, so when you talk to it like you baby talk your dog, they can actually understand what alot of it means.

has a bunch of good pigs and if you want to buy local theres a number on the site and she will direct you to a local breeder of them. nice lady. woot
