I know for a fact the 03 mustangs are underated but i also know for a fact they dont make 390 to the wheels if anything they are rated between 350-370
on a road test the evo and sti 1/4 was faster than an 03 svt

with a very few mods the sti will own the cobra with it being awd and the power of weight ratio heres a vid. Its rated at 338 to the wheels but its quarter mile is quicker than the cobra. If the cobra claiming to make 380 to the wheels is kinda sad when it
only hits low 13's or high twelves. I know that STI isn't stock and the bost was increased to 7psi but that pretty impressive.

now im not saying that a better driver can't get a better time with a 03 cobra but its been listed the STI being quicker in the quarter mile if not the same as the 03 Cobra. Which also maked the 03 cobra look bad when its rated more hp than the STI to the wheels.

the trapped almost 5mph faster than the STi and EVO. the only reason EVOs and STis can manage decent 1/4 times is because of the 7k awd launch. they are not powerful. and ive seen a dyno graph of a supposedly stock svt cobra and it dyno'd 383hp and 380tq
you can get as much or more power per $ with the cobra. with a change of the pulley and some exhaust they can make 500rwhp
i can garentuee stock for stock the cobra would put cars on both the evo and STi. If they were all put up on a road course itd probably be all the same. i dont think the cobra would be fast enough to leave them both on any straights.

sti-i think are slow
evo-MR only is pretty quick and has alot of potential..but the 07 EVO is coming out with their own vtec..which supposed to boost power to 297hp and will open lot of tuning doors..
03-04 cobra..now my buddy who is a honda tech and has a turbo civic has a 03 with every bolt-on they make and ported stock blower..all upgrades done himself and running his own fuel maps..car dynoed 657 hp and little over 600 lbs of torque, he has full interior, and a/c and he never never power shifts it ..the car runs 10.8 last time before he snapped his stock drive shafts..and pulls like a ------- missile..
and his total upgrade cost are only 7600.00 for everything
when you here that ------- blower whine up, and you get thrown back, you will ---- in your pants.. one thing everyone forgets is that everypart on the 4.6 mod motor is forged, even the crank..that is ------- unheard of by domestic manufacturer..
sure evo and even sti will probably take a cobra on rally course, but on the straights on modded cobra with 7000.00 in upgrades vs. 7000.00 in upgrades on evo or sti ..
cobra will put a whoppin' on them..

actually weight is a big factor.. for as much power as he is making his car is still pretty ------- heavy ..power to weigh ratio..
and really man 7000.00 is not much when you think of the options
he bought the car for 24500.00 cash
