Re:EVO 8
What I ment was all the previous 4g63 turbo cars have had all kinds of problems.. Either with electronics or ---- breaking constantly.. They are know for being broke as often as you drive them.. Is the evo the same way or did mitsu actually do it right with that car?

Re:EVO 8
The 4g63 has been redesigned several times throughout the EV0 years.. notice when you open the hood the engine sits oppisite of a DSM. (crank pulley pass side)
The only 4g63's that had major problems where what? the 7bolt cranks in the 2gs?

Seriously, Jeff is right, I had a 90 GSX for 2 years boosting 18psi on a stock engine everyday and the only thing that I had to fix was replace the alternator which is no big deal....these engines are bulletproof and can make 400whp on stock internals as long as they're tuned correctly. The 7 bolt 2gs were the only ones with problems(crankwalk) the 90-94 4g63s are amazing engines. the 1st gen also had a higher flowing head and intake manifold and a superior turbo. "T-too-small" 2g.

I don't mean the engine itself I mean the CAR.. Electronics and stuff like that. I've worked on a few and they all seem to have tons of problems. Maybe the evo is that good.. Maybe we just havn't had them here long enough to realize they are like the old elcipse's..
