Ethics paper.
I'm supposed to write some paper on ethics in re piracy (music, software, whatever) for a class Tuesday. I've pretty much decided to take a sociopathic stance, and am looking for any humorous verbage I can insert. For example:
"I'm like Robin Hood; I steal copyrights from the rich, and give them to the undeserving. Namely, myself."
This is where HMT comes in. Got any gems for me?

Re: Ethics paper.
music artists are not what they used to be. music should be free.. back in the day the music sold was just the cost of the vinyl and a little extra.. now we are paying 15 dollars for a cd that costs 10 cents to produce... thats insane. artists shouldnt have to rely on selling cd's to make money.. they should get out there and make more concerts and bring in the money from there.. the way i see it is once you digitize the music.. and put it out on cd.. then thats like giving away the music for free... as long as the person pirating the music is not making money off it.. then in my opinion its perfectly legal.
system of a down recently made an album titled steal this album. and korn recently made a video that adresses the beurocratic bullshit that goes on with the music industry.. artists have lost track of what music is.. and they are no longer worried about there fan. but only care about making money. kinda like the way everything else in this country is going to ----.. with sports players no longer playing because its fun.. but rather for the huge contract payments.. with players being bought right out of highschool..
in my opinion, music piracy shouldnt be a priority for law enforcement. they cant even keep drugs out of the prison system. yet they are spending money on keeping track of people who download music off the internet? its just a really sad sight. it sickens me everytime i think about it.. local law enforcement shells out big bucks to track down and prosecute and make examples out of teenagers who dont even have money to pay the hefty they are issued.. and even with all the arrests.. its not a successfull piracy detterent.
the bottom line is anyone. even an 8 year old kid can download and install a peer to peer software and download a song within minutes and be listening to it. and its not like the artists are all broke and barely making it pay check to paycheck.. they are swimming in money..
