I'd like to see a D-Series comparison with the log and hf mani.

i know some people hate them, but my team mate bought a tubular (not sure if its exactly equal length) manifold from ssautochrome. it was decent quality. not the BEST, but what u expect, it was 150 and came with a down pipe. he put a tial external on ,with a t3 turbo. ran sooo smooth, and he hasnt had one ounce of a problem from it. and no, it hasnt cracked, yet.

dam i hope it didnt really take them that long to switch manifolds evenin elapsed time it seemed long

Beau

ps i just made 3 log manifolds their not choice and not mine but the welding pays the bills

I'd like to see how an equal length compares to a short individual runner non-equal length, where the lengths of the inside two runners are equal and the lengths of the outside two runners are equal, that's what I'm thinking of tackling next, since I need a new mani anyways for my new turbo.

How about the weld quality on the log manifold? Is it reliable enough to be used for a daily driven street car? Cause my engine (sad to say) prolly won't stay in there for longer than 2 years. But I can't exactly afford the 1000 bucks for a manifold...

Also, if the prices are low enough for the log style, are there gonna be any group buys anytime soon?

i agree. I would like to see the #'s between each manifold running 10psi on a D16y8

the HF manifold, even ported, has TINY runners compared to most log manifolds. my guess is that the HF manifold will make the least amount of power of almost any manifold. it gets the job done, but its not ideal for power.

I disagree, I bet the HF manifold port matched and with a good adapter plate would outflow a log manifold for sure.

mine isnt really a log manifold, the runners mearge to a collector... and my dyno numbers where probly lower cuz my "filter" was clogged/dirty and that turbo was fucked...
