Florida had one of its typical monsoons yesterday and the roads were covered with about 6 inches of water in most places. I was lucky enough to find a spot in the road that decide to wash out making the water about 2.5 feet deep. As soon as the front of the car hit the water so did the air filter. To make a long story short engines dead as of now i no longer have a job cuase i delivered pizzas. I dont know what im going to do I might have everything for sale in a couple days depends on how pissed i still am and what i decide to do whether it be a new car or a new swap

take filter off drain water, take plugs out and blast a hair dryer down there. check plugs or replace. and try to fire her up.

yeah were going to try that im going to tow it to a friends house tonight but its locked it wont turn over at all so im doubtful

sometimes this works (if you're one of the lucky one), sometimes it doesn't. you could have snapped a rod, cracked a cylinder, etc., etc. when i hydrolocked mine, i blew a hole the size of my fist in front of the #1 and a hole the size of a quarter in the back. but yeah, if you don't see any holes in the block, maybe theres hope and try what crx88 said.

take out the plugs and crank it it will shoot the water out if it turns over free you might be ok. good luck, hondas hate hydro locking.

It happened to me, im in Orlando, and it worked for me a few years ago, I turned off the car as soon as it happened and tried to crank it again, nothing would move, I was like crap, then I did that water came out, I bought new plugs, and the car ran perfectly fine until I traded it in for the WRX. It might work, let us know.
