did you check the ECU or may be you can try another ECU?
also does the engine sounds like it is still reving up or does it sound like you hit a rev limiter??
does the needle bounce back if you floor it?

Lacks power at 5500, everyting till 5500 is fine, I dont know what the hell is going on, everyting was torqued down correctly, everytyhing was assembled correctly, so I dunno, i'll ---- some more with it tomorrow, hopefully that solves my problems, as for timing, I messed with timing for the last few days, retarting it and advancing it and nothing works.
try disconecting the vtec soliniod, since thats about when it kicks in see if it makes a differance

Vtec solenoid is not connected since I dont have a Vtec ECU, but that shouldnt make a difference, The needle on the tach jumps around a bit sometimes, but not all the time.

can you borrow a dizzy from someone? See if the spark is cutting out. Does it run fine till 5500? Is the ecu chipped, what ecu is it?

did you just use the disty to do that, maybe its off a tooth, mine did something like that before cept mine only went to like 4k and ran like ----, so i pretty much knew i was off a tooth...

might want to try a vtec ecu, maybe the fuel is cutting

hmm.. i doubt this would do it but maybe check the fuel filter

No, I adjusted the timing with the cam and belt, kept ------- with it, still same results. I'm going to borrow my buddies ECU and Distributor and see if that solves my problem.

Yeah thats kind of what happened, anyway, good news guy, my buddy came over in his car, he has the same motor, we took his distributor and put it on my car, reved up to 6800, hits fuel cut off off load, still no vtec and no Z6 ecu, so I solved my problem.

gap your plugs down to like .028

if its mising you could very well be blowing out spark.

or your motor is a steming pile of ill running ----
