its an engine code, not a displacement code. 18r was 1.8, 20r was 2.2, 22r was 2.4, 2rz was 2.4, 3rz was 2.7

its still a guess though
the displacement is the same as a currently sold v8, although this engine was around before hemis were conceived. possibly the 351w also.
