i was wondering if they make a thing that just connects to fuel injectors and a distributor to control those. i want to pull the engine out and everything inside wires everything rebuild my engine and use a programable ecu of some sort because i dont want to use the stock one it is to many wires and stuff.Is the any such thing or is this a dumb project?

Live-edit may work there are a few DIY Nissan editing tools floating around, take a look on Google...but IMO I'd go with Megasquirt
