I've heard they're good if you drive like you're supposed to, and don't shank the ---- out of the shifter everytime you shift. I'd rock one.

No they work great.Used quite a few and I cant really tell any difference between good brands and cheap. The ones that have the little bearing are nice to get.

Yes I mean on all of the Hondas I have owned I always start with a urethane shift stabilizer kit and a short throw shifter. Makes a world of difference.Never have I seen one break but I dont think I have ever tried like a $3.99 one as some I see I would avoid.Just get one of the cheaper brands you have heard of like your OBX type companies etc they are so cheap whats a whole $25.

i already bought one for like 15 and it has a little bearing. i mostly want it cause it has the little double bend and should make it easyer to reach. thing i hate aboiut my 96 civic, when the pedals feel right, im too far from the streering wheel it seems, and like the shifter is just a little out of reach

Should work.Worst case it breaks in half and you have a super short shifter For $15 it is worth a try.Do you have a urethane bushing set for the shifter? If not order a Prothane one asap.---- is majic.
